![]() Rome 2 is drab without them, attilla does a bit better but needs a few to get the most of it. regardless of which game you pick, use mods. Personally I would start with rome 2 then when you get tired of that go to attila. This can force you to disband units in your army because of the increased upkeep cost. Sounds good, but if you just want some cheap units for cannon foder they likely have been replaced with more expensive upgraded units. Basically you start out with levy units which can be "upgraded" through research (peasants turn into knights). ![]() One thing i really didn't like the whole unit progression system. Attila also has an interesting setting but is more of a survival/strategy game than Rome II. One of my favorite things about attila is that the Huns are a truly nomadic faction and they don't live in cities. You can't control what your client state builds, and even if you could, their building do not contribute. 2.) They hold back provinces by limiting what you can build. However the mechanics, politics, and parts of the ui are lacking in comparison to attila. If a client state exists in one of your provinces you can't issue edicts because you don't control 100 of the province. ![]() Just starting to get into total war very hyped looking for people to play with two thanks gamers Rome 2 is set in the classical age so you get a lot of variety in terms of the enemy units that you will face. ![]() Originally posted by ANDREW:What does the community think which one you think I should buy.
